Uniting Voices Chicago is excited to collaborate with actor and composer-activist Rinabeth Apostol for a workshop focused on Filipino music and culture. Ms. Apostol will share music to be taught to children and youth with cultural integrity and historical accuracy. This collaboration was inspired by a connection made by Christian-Joseph Macahilig from Foundations and Futures, a multimedia textbook dedicated to bringing a comprehensive history of Asian-American and Pacific Islander culture into the education curricula.

Uniting Voices Chicago is committed to engaging culture bearers to ensure we represent music with cultural integrity and appropriately educate about the historical and cultural significance of each piece.

This workshop is eligible for Illinois educators to receive CPDUs.
